ANALYSIS OF COMPETITIVE DIGITAL STRATEGIES OF ONLINE MILITARY AMMUNITION STORES IN UKRAINE
This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of digital marketing strategies employed by Ukrainian militarythemed online stores in the context of war-related constraints and growing market competition. The study is based on empirical research of 16 e-commerce platforms that specialize in selling tactical gear, military clothing, and related accessories. Key aspects explored include traffic sources, keyword visibility, SEO effectiveness, content marketing activity, social media presence, website usability, and brand positioning. In addition, the analysis considers factors such as pricing strategies, customer service, review systems, and communication approaches with target audiences. The findings reveal that most successful stores rely heavily on organic traffic, primarily driven by search engine optimization and well-developed content strategies. Due to the sensitive nature of military-themed advertising, contextual advertising through platforms like Google Ads is often restricted or unavailable, forcing retailers to pivot toward visual storytelling, influencer partnerships, and direct engagement through social media. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube are used most actively, while TikTok and Telegram remain underutilized by most market participants. Patriotic messaging, domestic production, cooperation with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and social responsibility initiatives are among the most frequently used communication themes. Brand credibility and customer trust are strengthened through consistent presence, transparent service policies, and direct engagement. However, the research also reveals discrepancies in marketing maturity, content quality, and digital infrastructure across different brands. The paper identifies key success factors in the Ukrainian military e-commerce segment, including functional website architecture, integration with social platforms, strategic pricing, and creative approaches to content development. Hybrid models that combine traditional tools with AI-based personalization and automation appear particularly promising. This research contributes to the academic understanding of niche e-commerce markets under crisis conditions and offers practical guidance for businesses seeking to optimize their digital marketing efforts in the military segment during wartime and beyond.
