INNOVATIVE METHODS OF PLAYING THE SAXOPHONE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE OF A MUSIC AND PEDAGOGY UNIVERSITY

The article is devoted to the methodology of teaching saxophone. The article discusses the concept of “innovation”, analyses pedagogical research on this topic, and summarises existing innovative methodological approaches to teaching saxophone in the educational practice of a music and pedagogy university. A comparative analysis of modern approaches to teaching saxophone is conducted. The author examines the results concerning the need for applying innovative methods of playing the saxophone in the educational practice of music and pedagogy universities in Russia and China.
