THEORETICAL AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE INSTITUTE OF EXPERTISE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
With the increasing demand, complexity and diversity of types of expertise, there is a simultaneous lag in the development of its theoretical and legal foundations from the solution of applied issues. The maintenance of this imbalance is facilitated by the dominance in scientific research of the analysis of private aspects of the institute of expertise to the detriment of progress in the field of understanding the problems and fundamental laws of legal regulation of expert activity. As a result of the research conducted in the article, the incompleteness of the process of creating a regulatory framework for expert activity and its excessively high differentiation among different categories of expertise were revealed. The presence of gaps in the development and legislative consolidation of the conceptual apparatus of the institute of expertise is shown. Insufficient synchronization of applied and fundamental scientific developments in the field of expertise is revealed. Possible directions for further research on the topic of the article are determined.
