GOD-SEEKING MOTIVES IN THE LYRICS OF ELENA SCHWARTZ
The article examines and systematizes religious, mainly Christian, motives in the lyrics of Elena Shvarts, whose creative individuality was formed in the atmosphere of the Leningrad unofficial late Soviet culture. Various artistic ways of reinterpreting biblical stories and images are described, the key place of the personality of Christ is emphasized, evoking intuitions about the mystery of the incarnation, about the relationship between the Persons of the Holy Trinity, about the Cross and Resurrection, about the possibilities and dead ends of individual God-seeking, which are common to poems of different years. Attention is paid to the methods of self-disclosure of the lyrical subject gravitating towards knowledge of God, the relationship between his secret vision and intellectual reflection. Examples of confessional lyrics are analyzed, where the fusion of gospel and personal stories occurs, branched mythopoetic plots are formed. The "ecumenical" mood characteristic of Schwartz's religious poetry and the various "role" metamorphoses of lyrical consciousness associated with it are also considered. Conclusions are made about the universals and evolution of Schwartz's religious-poetic thinking in the 1960s-2000s.
