Modelamento sociocognitivo e misoginia

Throughout this article, we will attempt to analyze the process of disqualification of President Dilma Rousseff performed by communicative practices of journalists from Veja magazine, practices constituted by textual and discursive resources that seek to deconstruct the image of this important figure in Brazilian politics throughout her first term. The results of the analyses show that the referring strategies about Dilma and/or the actions attributed to her, employed by journalists in the construction of her social persona, produce a deeply stigmatizing view of the President. In our view, these discursive strategies are based on misogyny and anti-PT sentiment, performed by these agents in the journalistic field.
