The Role of Dialectics in the Formation of Theoretical Geology
Geology, as a science that studies the patterns of the Earth's geological development, represents a coherent system of scientific knowledge, the foundation of which should primarily consist of the principles, laws, and categories of dialectics. The laws of dialectics differ from those of other sciences (geology, physics, mathematics, biology, etc.) due to their universality. Firstly, they encompass all spheres of reality; secondly, they reveal the deep foundations of motion and development‒their source, driving forces, the mechanism of transition from the old to the new, and the interconnection between them. Dialectics, as a doctrine of the development of being, cognition, and thought, unveils the sources and driving forces behind the evolution of both large and small systems. Its laws, principles, and categories scientifically substantiate the nature and direction of transformations, their systematic and orderly character, and their irreversibility. Such knowledge serves as a fundamental basis for both theoretical and practical activity. The adoption of dialectics by geological science as a universal method of understanding and transforming reality is essential, particularly for the advancement of geology itself, especially under the conditions of increasing theoretical complexity and the introduction of new methodologies. Based on the analysis of the universal laws of philosophy and geological data, we have concluded that the Earth, as a material body, expands and pulsates, mirroring the expansion and pulsation of the Universe as a whole
