Polyphony of Resilience: An Engaged Perspective in Arno Bertina's Ceux qui trop supportent (2021)
The article delves into Arno Bertina's Ceux qui trop supportent, examining themes of resilience, social struggle, and the power of language. It analyzes Bertina’s documentary approach in portraying the plight of GM&S factory workers facing layoffs. Grounded in Cyrulnik’s theory of resilience, the analysis interprets the workers' collective resistance against neoliberal forces. The study underscores the significance of solidarity, shared experiences, and reclaiming language as tools of empowerment. Ultimately, it concludes that Bertina's work provides a potent critique of social domination while celebrating the strength and agency of marginalized voices.
