Experimental study of the characteristics of electro-magnetic wave propagation along the conductors of hf band near ground antenna

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the dependence of the propagation constant of an electromagnetic wave along the conductors of HF band near ground antennas on the properties of the soil and a comparison with known analytical expressions. The accuracy characteristics of known formulas are estab-lished and an assessment of their applicability for solving practical problems is given.
