Meaning of The Concept of Professional Competence of a Teacher and Features of its Formation

One of the priorities of modern Kazakhstani teachers is to improve the professional skills of teachers through the use and dissemination of best practices. Therefore, the field of education should be active and mobile, focused on a teacher who is active in his business, clearly understands his professional goals and is optimistic about all new and innovations. The main point, which we will consider in our article, is also the result of our searches in search of an answer to this question. Today, “competence” is one of the main basic concepts in pedagogical science. Many researchers emphasize that the concept of competence is much broader than the concepts of knowledge, skills, and abilities. The concept of competence indicates both the orientation of the individual and the fact that it includes overcoming stereotypes, awareness of problems, rationality, flexibility of thinking. Competence differs from skill in that it is created consciously, and, unlike skill, it is very prone to change and improvement, unlike knowledge, it is thought activity in the form of creativity (carried out in real practice or mental work). Therefore, the modern education system in Kazakhstan should be focused on an active and mobile teacher who takes the initiative in his work, clearly knows his professional goals, is open to everything new and is optimistic about innovations.
