Qualitative research was employed and allows the researcher to explore documented data on teaching personnel as such; distribution of teachers, qualifications and genders in the two local government’s education authorities under study. However, the paper relies on secondary primary sources, secondary sources were generated from both personnel units of Dambatta and Rimin Gado LGEAs of Kano State, unpublished dissertation as well as journals were used for the paper, the primary sources were also generated from SUBEB chairperson, education secretaries, SBMCs and PTAs chairmen though interview, the study also relies on thematic analysis for the presentation and analysis of data to arrive at generalization. The findings indicate that there was a shortage of teachers to support teaching and learning. It also reveals that most teachers had retired from the teaching profession and that no recruitment had taken place to replace them for the previous seven years, meaning that most schools had to rely on BESDA and N-Power staff to teach, they also stressed that teachers must meet the minimal qualifications in order to ensure that teachers facilitate the attainment of Basic Education in Dambatta and Rimin Gado LGEAs of Kano State. The paper reveals that a teacher may work for nine to ten years without receiving a promotion and that they do not receive an annual increment generally has an impact on teaches and the way that basic education is delivered from the perspectives of enrollment, retention, completion, and pupil’s transition. However, the study recommends that Government should employ qualified teachers with requisite teaching requirement, this will support teaching and learning and assist the government in resolving the workforce issue. The study suggests, in addition to providing more teaching personnel that promotions be given out on a regular basis as soon as they become due and that annual raises be provided. By doing this, instructors will be more likely to complete their tasks on time and meet the goals of basic education.
