A low-potential lithium-biphenyl anolyte for high-performance nonaqueous redox flow batteries with a metal–organic-framework-based separator
A Li-biphenyl (BP) anolyte is adopted in a 2.7 V Li-BP-LiI3 nonaqueous redox flow battery (NRFB). The Fe-N-C MOF separator mitigates cross-contamination and enhances LiI3 reduction, as confirmed by DFT. The NRFB exhibits 80 Ah L-1 capacity and 96% retention over 100 cycles, offering a pathway for achieving high-voltage and high-stability.
