The induced bremsstrahlung effect in the field of laser pulses in electron scattering by a multiply charged ion with a core

The approach in the theory of photoprocesses under the action of laser pulses, previously developed by one of us, was used to describe the induced bremsstrahlung effect (IBE) in scattering of a quasi-classical electron by a multiply charged ion with a core. The contribution of both ordinary and polarization channels was taken into account in the case that the pulse carrier frequency was close to the eigenfrequency of the ion core. The influence of pulse duration and carrier frequency on the normalized probability of the IBE was analyzed, considering electron penetration into the ion core.

Abstract

The approach in the theory of photoprocesses under the action of laser pulses, previously developed by one of us, was used to describe the induced bremsstrahlung effect (IBE) in scattering of a quasi-classical electron by a multiply charged ion with a core. The contribution of both ordinary and polarization channels was taken into account in the case that the pulse carrier frequency was close to the eigenfrequency of the ion core. The influence of pulse duration and carrier frequency on the normalized probability of the IBE was analyzed, considering electron penetration into the ion core.
