DIAGNÓSTICO PRECOCE DA DOENÇA DE CROHN NA INFÂNCIA E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES
This study aims to deepen knowledge about Crohn’s disease through its early diagnosis and its implications. Specifically, it seeks to: gather scientific evidence on the early diagnosis of Crohn’s disease in children and adolescents; and investigate the implications of early diagnosis in Crohn’s disease in children and adolescents. This is a narrative review of the literature conducted in August 2025 in the PUBMED database, using the following descriptors: “Crohn’s disease,” “Early diagnosis,” “Pediatrics,” “Fecal calprotectin,” “Enteroresonance,” and “Child development.” A sample of ten articles was presented. Based on the results presented, early diagnosis represents a determining factor for the prognosis and quality of life of children and adolescents affected by the disease. It is hoped that this literature review will inform the work of professionals, either by sparking researchers’ interest in the topic or by implementing actions aimed at early diagnosis. Keywords: Early diagnosis, Crohn’s disease, childhood
