Analysis of the Effect of Solar Radiation on the Thermal Performance of an Irregularly Shaped Building, Taking into Account its Orientation

In this study, based on the analysis of the shape of a triangular building in plan and the orientation of the main facade on four sides, a study was conducted on the influence of climatic parameters in the form of solar radiation on the minimum specific heat loss of a building per unit area in terms of cold, hot and annual values. As a result, it was found that in winter, significant specific heat losses are shown in the orientation of North, East and West, and the minimum value is shown in the orientation of South. This is due to the fact that the course of the Sun in winter differs from the summer, thereby illuminating the Southern hemisphere of the Earth. This phenomenon affects losses, as heating costs on the south side decrease. However, in summer, the peculiarity of heating by solar healing coincides with the traditional concept of Sunrise and Sunset, that is, in summer, the eastern and western facades are subject to overheating, where energy consumption increases for cooling the building, which was established according to. A similar effect affects the annual cycle, where, due to the location, according to the climatic zone, Shymkent, energy consumption is mainly aimed at cooling the building. The results of this study can be further used in the study of the effect of solar healing on temperature fluctuations on the surface of building facades

Abstract

In this study, based on the analysis of the shape of a triangular building in plan and the orientation of the main facade on four sides, a study was conducted on the influence of climatic parameters in the form of solar radiation on the minimum specific heat loss of a building per unit area in terms of cold, hot and annual values.
