Peningkatan Kesadaran Siswa SMPN 1 Panyabungan Timur Tentang Bahaya Pernikahan Dini Melalu Program Edukasi Pencegahan Pernikahan Usia Dini

Early marriage, which involves at least one partner under the age of 18, is a serious global problem, including in Indonesia. Despite a decline in early marriage rates in recent decades, the practice is still prevalent especially in rural areas and areas with high poverty rates. This study aims to raise awareness of SMPN 1 Sub. East Panyabungan students about the dangers of early marriage through a comprehensive education program. The program used lecture methods, presentation, and interactive discussion. The results showed an increase in students understanding of the health risks, mental impacts, and social implications of early marriage. The approach proved effective in changing students attitudes, with many participants showing a commitment to delay marriage until a more mature age. This research makes an important contribution to early marriage prevention efforts in Indonesia, particularly in the context of school-based education in rural areas.
