Homeopathic support for emotional disorders in cancer patients
Cancer is a multifactorial disease with an increasing incidence. While heredity plays a limited role (5–10% of cases), environmental and behavioral factors are predominant. Prevention relies on reducing exposure to harmful agents (tobacco, alcohol, unbalanced diet, pollutants), engaging in regular physical activity, managing stress and promoting early detection. Homeopathy is integrated into a global and integrative approach to cancer, considering the individual patient’s constitution. The study of chronic reactional modes (psoric, sycotic, tuberculinic, syphilitic) helps tailor treatments based on the specific pathophysiological imbalances of each patient. Chronic stress, a known aggravating factor in cancer progression, promotes inflammation and tumor growth by increasing cortisol levels and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Homeopathy may contribute to better emotional regulation and intervene at multiple levels: prevention of treatment-related side effects (pain, nausea, fatigue, mucositis); strengthening natural defense mechanisms; optimizing therapeutic outcomes and reducing stress. Cancer, a disease with multiple etiologies, requires a comprehensive strategy combining prevention, early detection and individualized homeopathic support, in particular for emotional disorders, to address the multiple challenges posed by this pathology.
