Deteksi Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) tipe 16 dan 18 serta karakteristik pasien kondiloma akuminata di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah
Introduction: Condyloma is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Previous studies have shown HPV types 16 and 18 in patients with condyloma lesions, but similar studies are still very limited. This study aimed to detect HPV 16 and 18 infection and the characteristics of condyloma patients at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with a descriptive design and accompanied by inferential analysis. The study sample was condyloma patients undergoing treatment at the Dermatology and Venereology Polyclinic of Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. Findings of HPV types 16 and 18 were obtained from PCR. Patient lesion characteristics, age, gender, number of sexual partners, sexual orientation, HIV status, nutritional status, history of alcohol consumption, and smoking history from interviews and medical records. Data were analyzed using SPSS ver. 25.0. Results: This study involved 30 subjects, with 19 subjects (63.3%) negative for HPV 16 or HPV 18, 6 subjects (20.0%) positive for HPV 16, and 5 subjects (16.7%) positive for HPV 18. Acuminata lesions were more common (73.3%) than non-acuminata lesions (26.7%). There was a significant association between the findings of HPV type 16 (OR=36.000; 95% CI=2.585–501.268; p-value=0.005; aOR=50.462 (95% CI=2.595–981.223; p-value=0.01) and HPV type 18 (OR=27.000; 95% CI:1.826–399.235; p-value=0.018; aOR=43.473 (95% CI=1.982–953.741; p-value=0.017). Conclusion: The proportion of HPV 16 and 18 in condyloma patients treated at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital is quite large, reaching 36.7%. There is a significant relationship between high-risk HPV findings and lesion characteristics in patients with condyloma. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara temuan HPV tipe 16 (OR=36,000; IK95%=2,585–501,268; p-value=0,005; aOR=50,462 (IK95%=2,595–981,223; p-value=0,01) dan HPV tipe 18 (OR=27,000; IK95%:1,826–399,235; p-value=0,018; aOR=43,473 (IK95%=1,982–953,741; p-value=0,017).
