399 Generative AI in data analysis for animal science.

Abstract The near ubiquity of large language models (LLM) and AI have made it difficult to escape the its use in every aspect of life. The animal sciences has recently accelerated the use of new technologies including AI for precision agriculture and the potential for generative models to improve data analysis and science communication. The most applicable use of LLMs is to enable statistical coding for trainees to more efficiently analyze large datasets and create visualizations. However, generative models have a wide array of uses including assisting in background research, organizing results and creating graphics. We highlight the use of other AI models to enable the analysis of a wide array of data types. The aim of this presentation to introduce the greater animal science community of applicable tools and methodologies to properly incorporate AI into their data analysis.
