RASAVAHA SROTAS, THEIR PHYSIOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE AND MANAGE-MENT: AN AYURVEDIC REVIEW.

Ayurveda, the time-honoured science dedicated to health and well-being. Ayurveda describes a systemic biological transport system comprising gross and minute, as well as very subtle, channels that transport not only fluids, nutrients, and waste products but also energies and impulses in different biological settings. These channels are called Srotas. In Ayurveda classics, the term Srotas is used as a dynamic inner transport system of the body, mind, and spirit organisation system. Srotas carry all the variations, from poshya rasa to poshaka rasa, including specific materials, hormones, enzymes, thought processes, and stimuli. It is such a minute supply that is not visible, but evident through their actions or the functioning that occurs. Any disturbance in the physiology of Srotas may lead to pathological manifestations; therefore, it is essential to understand the physiological and clinical concepts of Srotas along with its management. Ayurvedic Samhitas described anatomical and physiological concepts of Srotas broadly, along with the diseases related to srotodushti. In this article, I try to opt on Rasavaha Srotas in detail view.
