OCCUPATIONAL STRESS IN BANKING AND IT PROFESSIONALS: AN INTE-GRATIVE REVIEW
Occupational stress significantly impacts employee health and organisational effectiveness, especially in highdemand sectors like banking and information technology (IT). The evolving workplace demands, including rapid technological changes, prolonged working hours, and substantial interpersonal responsibilities, intensify stressrelated outcomes. Integrating modern medical insights with traditional Ayurvedic perspectives can provide a comprehensive understanding and management of occupational stress. Objectives: This review aims to analyze the prevalence, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and management of occupational stress among bank and IT professionals through an integrative lens. Materials and Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted using biomedical databases (PubMed, Scopus, WHO documents) and classical Ayurvedic texts including Charaka Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, and Sushruta Samhita. Empirical research studies on stress among professionals were critically examined.
