Transforming the China’s Healthcare Industry: Case Study of Baidu Alibaba and Tencent
In the context of the digital economy and big data era, China's healthcare industry is undergoing profound transformation. Challenges such as a large population base, aging trends, and uneven distribution of medical resources pose severe challenges to traditional medical models, while simultaneously creating substantial demand for the development of internet-based healthcare. This study takes China's internet giants Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent (BAT) as case studies to explore how they leverage their distinctive business models—— including information services, e-commerce, and social connectivity—— to drive the transformation of online medical services, reshape the healthcare industry landscape, and provide important insights for innovation in this field.
