Oxidative stress and multiple sclerosis: trajectories and possible predictive activities of pro and antioxidant biomolecules
• Oxidative stress drives lesion development in multiple sclerosis. • MS patients show high OS and reduced antioxidant defense early on. • OS markers may help in early prognosis and guide timely treatment. • OS can both trigger and worsen MS, creating a harmful cycle. • More research is needed to link OS with neuroinflammation in MS.
