Melanoma in situ misclassified as seborrhoeic keratosis in teledermatology triage: a diagnostic safety reflection

Store-and-forward teledermatology has expanded access to dermatology, but diagnostic safety depends on an accurate interpretation of static images. We present a reflective case that illustrates how cognitive and process pitfalls may delay melanoma diagnosis and propose simple safeguards for triage practice.

We present a reflective case that illustrates how cognitive and process pitfalls may delay melanoma diagnosis and propose simple safeguards for triage practice.
