Comparative Analysis of Trump “Peace to Prosperity” Plan and the Two-State Option
After almost 32 years since the failure of the Oslo Accord, the Trump's peace plan is the last precise peace agreement aimed at brokering peace between Israel and Palestine. This paper argued that the Trump's peace plan is applicable under a one-state solution, following a shift from the typical historical peace negotiation under the conception of a two-state solution. This paper also argued that despite the heated impossibility of a two-state solution as campaigned by most actors due to certain factors, there is an optimistic view for a two state solution to prevail under certain conditions, which this paper argued as the best solution to ending the long aged conflict in the Middle East.
