ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ON THE SOCIAL PERFORMANCE OF BANKS:AN ECONOMETRIC ANALYSIS IN THE BENI MELLAL-KHENIFRA REGION
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a crucial factor in evaluating the social performance of companies. This study aims to assess CSR within the banking sector. To achieve this objective, a quantitative survey methodology was employed to collect essential data from a sample of banks in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region of Morocco. The effect of CSR on the social performance of banks was analyzed using generalized linear models, specifically binary logistic regression. The results highlight a positive link between CSR and the social performance of banking institutions, with a P-value of less than 0.005.Additionally, the R-squared value (R) indicated that 88.8% of the variance was explained through binary logistic regression. These findings suggest that banks in this region should enhance their CSR efforts to improve their overall performance.Furthermore, the results can assist in making informed decisions regarding potential future trends.
