HEALTH STATUS OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS AND DETERMINING FACTORS: AN ANALYTICAL REVIEW
Significance. Studying characteristics of the health status of healthcare workers and the factors that influence it is of great scientific and practical interest. This problem requires a comprehensive approach, as it directly affects the quality of medical care provided, efficiency of labor resource utilization in health, as well as social security of healthcare workers. Purpose. To conduct a comprehensive assessment of the health status of healthcare workers and identify major determining factors. Material and Methods. An analytical review of scientific publications was conducted using the eLibrary database and the CyberLeninka scientific electronic library. The inclusion criteria were as follows: scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals over the past 10 years with full texts available in open access. The selection and analysis of publications were carried out in sequential stages: identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final selection of studies. The study employed content analysis and analytical generalization methods. Results. 311 scientific studies were analyzed, of which 16 met the inclusion criteria. The analysis of the dynamics in publication activity on the topic of the health status of healthcare workers in Russia demonstrates a steady increase in the interest in this area in 2014-2021 with peaks in 2019, indicating its relevance, however, in 2023-2024, a decrease in the number of publications was registered. The analysis of factors influencing the health status of healthcare workers demonstrates a complex nature of this problem. Organizational (9 publications) and production factors (7 publications) play the key role, having a significant impact on occupational morbidity and emotional well-being of medical personnel. Important modulating elements are individual (2 publications) and socio-psychological characteristics (5 publications). External events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic (1 publication), exacerbate the impact of the identified factors, calling for the development of comprehensive preventive measures. Conclusion. Overall, the analysis makes it possible to conclude that modern research is more focused on physical and psychological aspects of the health of medical personnel, while the social dimension of this problem requires more in-depth consideration. The development of effective preventive measures should be based on a comprehensive understanding of this problem.
