More closed-form analytical results in physics using the <i>r</i> -Lambert function

Abstract In this paper, using the r -Lambert function, I derive closed-form analytical expressions for the drag coefficient of a falling object through a low-viscous fluid and for the fin parameter of a straight rectangular fin. Similarly, based on the r -Lambert function, I derive a closed-form formula for the temperature at which the maximum of the Schottky heat capacity occurs. Additionally, in terms of the r -Lambert function, I derive closed-form analytical expressions for the long-range order parameter in a binary alloy and for the superconducting energy gap of the two superconductors of a Josephson junction. This paper provides undergraduate and graduate physics students with new closed-form analytical results. Some of these are proposed to be used for an alternative experimental determination of relevant physical quantities.
