Modeling Polarized Atomic Beam Source (PABS)
The use of nuclear polarization of deuterons in thermonuclear fusion is one of the possible ways to increase the reaction cross- section. The performance of polarized sources for such applications constitutes a critical challenge. This work is devoted to the modelling of a Polarized Atomic Beam Source (PABS). A correct mathematical model can facilitate the identification of methods to enhance the intensity of PABS. The study is carried out within the framework of the nuclear-physics experiment PolFusion (Polarized Fusion). The work includes the development of an initial generator, the modeling of spin-separating magnetic lenses and hyperfine transition units, and the verification of the functionality of the resulting polarizer modeling program.
