The Drell–Yan Forward-Backward Asymmetry Across Various Rapidity Ranges

We present a detailed study of the forward-backward asymmetry in the Drell–Yan process, using a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculation within the collinear factorization scheme, including the effects of $$\gamma {\text{/}}{{Z}^{0}}$$ boson exchange. We analyze $$Q$$ and $${{Q}_{T}}$$ dependence and compare theoretical predictions with available data from the CMS Collaboration at the LHC.

Abstract

We present a detailed study of the forward-backward asymmetry in the Drell–Yan process, using a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculation within the collinear factorization scheme, including the effects of $$\gamma {\text{/}}{{Z}^{0}}$$ boson exchange. We analyze $$Q$$ and $${{Q}_{T}}$$ dependence and compare theoretical predictions with available data from the CMS Collaboration at the LHC.
