Some legal and ethical concerns regarding (mis)use of Chat GPT
The development of information technologies, especially during the 21st century, has two sides: the first, the brigther one is depicting a world of new, unimagined opportunities for work, advancement, learning, development of business activities; but the second side, the darker one, is showing us another world of unimagined ways of abusing the same technologies, for doing serious frauds, violent acts, threats and other criminal acts. Crime scenes still exist, but tools for their execution became wider and more unpredictable, as they come from the world of information and communication technologies. In this paper some serious legal and ethical problems that arise with the application of various IT solutions, especially after the emergence of ChatGPT in 2023, are mentioned. There are no reliable solutions to these problems yet, the problems are constantly evolving. But we find it very important to mentioned them and encourage thinking about their solution, not only through threats of fines for violations, but also through prevention aimed at the smart use of all technological products.
