FORMATION OF COMPLEXES OF TRANSPORT CHARACTERISTICS OF LARGE-SIZED AND HEAVY LOADS

Road trains with modular trailers and semi-trailers are used for transportation of bulky and heavy loads. Unlike marine and rail transport, where in-depth research and scientific substantiation have been carried out, which allowed the development of technical solutions and regulations for efficient and safe transportation of KTG, such work has not yet been carried out on road transport. The re-quirements for the operational properties of road trains are set by the operating enterprises them-selves based on production experience. The task of substantiating the complex of operational proper-ties and the standard range of rolling stock of motor transport should be solved on the basis of the ac-cumulated experience of KTG transportation using modern research methods. The article reflects ex-perimental material on 233 CTG units and conducted a cluster analysis, which made it possible to form complexes of CTG transport characteristics in order to determine the influence of weight and other characteristics of goods on the operational properties of road trains, substantiate a standard-sized range of modular trailers and semi-trailers.
