Pneumo-mechanical Method of Hay Transportation by the Loader of a Harvestingtransport Unit

The article examines the technological process of hay harvesting using a harvesting and transport unit consisting of a pickup, a loader, and an assembly chamber. A pneumaticmechanical method for transporting plant material with a loader is substantiated. A theoretical analysis of the multiplicative effect of air flow and mechanical forces on the transported material is carried out. Calculated and experimental data on the power of the air flow during transportation are presented. The air flow velocity at the inlet to the loader’s air duct is determined. Graphs showing the dependence of hay portion flight distance on rotor speed are constructed.

Abstract

The article examines the technological process of hay harvesting using a harvesting and transport unit consisting of a pickup, a loader, and an assembly chamber. A pneumaticmechanical method for transporting plant material with a loader is substantiated. A theoretical analysis of the multiplicative effect of air flow and mechanical forces on the transported material is carried out. Calculated and experimental data on the power of the air flow during transportation are presented. The air flow velocity at the inlet to the loader’s air duct is determined. Graphs showing the dependence of hay portion flight distance on rotor speed are constructed.
