AUTOMATION OF MINDING: ADVANTAGES OF IMPLEMENTING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES

The armed aggression of the russian federation has caused significant contamination of the territory of Ukraine with explosives and has made our country one of the most mined countries in the world. This poses a serious threat to the civilian population, hinders the restoration of infrastructure and complicates economic activity. In such conditions, the problem of demining has become extremely important. At the same time, traditional methods of clearing territories from explosives are very slow, extremely dangerous and expensive, which requires a new approach. One of the key solutions is the introduction of elements of artificial intelligence into the technological, information and organizational processes of demining. The article analyzes the modern practice of applying artificial intelligence in the field of demining: from the analysis of satellite images and data from drones to the identification of explosives using various sensors and ground-penetrating radars. Examples of the use of artificial intelligence for building interactive maps, assessing the probable location of minefields and optimizing the actions of sapper units are given. Special attention is paid to national developments, in particular the technology of the UADamage company, which combines satellite sensing, visual analysis and subsurface scanning using artificial intelligence. The use of the Palantir analytical platform in the formation of an information base and the creation of new solutions for organizing demining, assessing the situation and determining priorities for clearing territories is considered. The results of the study confirm that the use of artificial intelligence allows not only to increase the speed and safety of the demining process, but also to introduce a new approach to planning, monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of demining. The prospects for integrating digital technologies into the humanitarian demining process are determined.
