EFFECTS OF TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION CHANGES ON THE SIZE AND BIOSYNTHESIS OF GREEN GOLD NANOPARTICLES
Various chemical and physical methods are used to prepare gold nanoparticles(AuNPs). However, these methods involve the use of chemicals that are toxic andharmful to the environment. Therefore, researchers have been investigating the use ofgreen chemistry to develop eco-friendly AuNPs. One approach is greennanotechnology, which uses plant-derived phytochemicals to reduce gold ions andproduce AuNPs. This study aimed to follow a simple method to screen some aqueousplant extracts and to clarify the effect of changing the concentration of the plant extractand temperature on the synthesis of nanoparticles while determining the optimumconcentration (OC) for biosynthesizing AuNPs. Ten Libyan medicinal plantssuccessfully synthesized AuNPs of different sizes. It was found that concentration andtemperature changes have a role and influence on the synthesis and size of the AuNPs.
