Efficient acoustic transmission and acoustic intensity control in topological acoustic interlayer

Abstract This paper discards the scatterers in the conventional acoustic topology and proposes a new topological acoustic interlayer structure that is different from previous studies. There is no scatterer blocking the propagation of acoustic waves in this kind of interlayer, and thus, a more efficient acoustic transmission capability will be obtained. Only air channels are present in the interlayer as acoustic transmission channels, relying on the structure inside the interlayer plates on both sides to induce the generation of topological phase transitions in the air interlayer. In this case, there is more space inside the interlayer for acoustic sensors. At the same time, the unobstructed flow of air means that this structure is more suitable for scenarios with higher heat dissipation requirements. In addition, in this paper, by placing interlayers of different heights in the internal air layer, arbitrary control of the acoustic intensity on the path can be realized. The research work in this paper will enrich the construction forms and application scenarios of acoustic topologies.
