Chemical reaction dynamics in boundary layer flow with regression analysis: An advanced practice of coupled Soret–Dufour
Abstract This study explores the elaborate dynamics of chemical reactions within the unsteady BL flow due to a permeable upright dish, focusing on the coupled effects of the Soret–Dufour phenomena. We analyze nonlinear, time‐dependent partial differential equations that deal with continuity, momentum, energy, and concentration by applying relevant modifications. After developing mathematical models, these equations, now rendered into a set of nonlinear, dimensionless forms, are determined using the explicit finite difference method (EFDM). This includes a detailed examination of its mathematical formulation, stability, code validation, and convergence assessments. The research explores the influences of physical factors like coupled thermal‐diffusion ( Sr ), diffusion‐thermo ( Du ), Prandtl number, and chemical reaction, that affect the flow, temperature, and concentration distributions. It also highlights that engineering studies further investigate the changes in standard skin friction coefficients and heat and material transfer rates due to these factors. Regression analysis is conducted by deriving regression equations, finding residual errors, and displaying line fit and normal probability plots. The advanced practice of coupling Sr ‐ Du effects with Kr dynamics offers a deeper understanding of the complex interactions within BL flows, particularly in industrial and environmental settings where precise control over heat and mass transfer is crucial.
