DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A BUS FLEET, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT A SYSTEM OF OPERATING CRITERIA

The article examines the issue of vehicle selection in the context of commercial activity. It puts forward the view that the methods of information theory and information interaction theory should be em-ployed to assess the quality of buses in terms of technical and operational indicators. The article con-siders the impact of scientific and technological progress on the changing level of uncertainty in the situation. In this context, the article proposes that decision-making theory tools should be used to take into account the degree of uncertainty of the situation. Systems of criterion preferences are estab-lished to facilitate the determination of the conditions that buses are required to fulfil in order for them to be operated efficiently. Methods of comparing bus variants at the stage of decision-making on commissioning are presented.
