Cechy przewidywanego przystąpienia Turcji do Unii Europejskiej
Today, Turkey, thanks to its geopolitical position, is part of a significant power constellation in its region. Particularly, the Syrian, Ukrainian, and Israeli military conflicts, as well as domestic issues such as the migration and energy crises, have brought Turkey’s role in the region to the forefront. As a result of these events, Turkey’s relations with the European Union have begun to improve somewhat compared to the past, and previously active interactions have now become more effective. However, when considering the relationship between Turkey and the Union, it is evident that there has been no progress regarding Turkey’s EU accession process. Therefore, the author analyzed the obstacles Turkey faces on its path to joining the European Union, Turkey’s expectations regarding EU membership, and issues of military security cooperation in this article.
