The Potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies in Higher Education and Its Impact on Sustainable Economic Development

The paper discusses such a pressing issue of the modern period as the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education and based on the interdependence of this context, presents their connection with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is worth noting and emphasizing the frequency of use of AI tools in higher education after the Covid-19 pandemic. This means, that more effective forms of teaching methods adapted to the requirements of higher education are gradually being developed. The necessary conditions for empowering teachers to use artificial intelligence in the development of students' skills and competencies, which emphasizes sustainability, are being introduced. During this period, a significant change has occurred in the educational landscape, which has led to the adoption of innovative technologies to meet the requirements of higher education. In this context, artificial intelligence has emerged as a tool not only for improving teaching methods, but also for integrating sustainability concepts. This focus highlights the fundamental role of this technology and its impact on promoting quality education, which contributes to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals
