Pensamiento crítico y logro de aprendizaje en estudiantes del séptimo ciclo de Trujillo
Critical thinking is a fundamental competency for academic and professional success, allowing students not only to acquire knowledge but also to construct their own learning in an autonomous and reflective manner. The objective is to determine the relationship between critical thinking and learning achievement in seventh-year students at a private educational institution in Trujillo, Peru. The approach is quantitative, descriptive-correlational, and non-experimental. The sample consisted of 34 students. The Watson and Glaser (1980) test was used to assess critical thinking and grade records for learning achievement. The results, using Spearman's correlation coefficient, demonstrate a direct and positive correlation between critical thinking and learning achievement (rho = 0.689, p < 0.01). It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between both variables, highlighting the importance of fostering critical thinking to improve academic performance.
