La Webquest y el proceso de aprendizaje en el área de ciencia y ambiente: Análisis correlacional

The integration of Information and Communication Technologies in education has generated new opportunities to transform teaching-learning processes. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between WebQuests and the learning process in the area of Science and the Environment among sixth-grade elementary school students in Lima, Peru. The approach is quantitative, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 89 students. A Likert-scale questionnaire validated by expert judgment was administered. The results showed a positive and significant correlation (rho = 0.87) between both variables. 86.5% of students reported feeling motivated by using WebQuests, while 85.4% considered that this tool facilitated the understanding of scientific concepts. It is concluded that WebQuests constitute an effective teaching strategy for enhancing learning in Science and the Environment, promoting motivation, collaborative work, and the development of higher-order cognitive skills.
