The deepening of globalization processes is also increasing the interaction and dependence between national economies in the system of international economic relations. When approaching the problem from this perspective, the food production sector plays an important role in meeting the population's demand for food products, as well as in ensuring employment in this area and increasing the population's income. Increasing the competitiveness of food production acts as the main prerequisite for ensuring food security. Increasing the competitiveness of food products, first of all, makes the modernization of the production process an objective necessity. Modernization of food production involves implementing the production process of food products in accordance with modern requirements, increasing labor productivity in this area, reducing the cost of products and, most importantly, improving their quality. Modernization of the food production process is a production process that ultimately reflects the provision of high quality and affordability to buyers. All this plays an important role in ensuring the country's food security. It conditions the elimination of import dependence.
