Abstract

The transition to the innovative development paradigm is an objective necessity in the context of ensuring sustainable competitive development. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the directions of improving the methodology for managing innovative development. Based on the analysis of modern theoretical concepts related to the organization of territorial innovation processes, the hypothesis is confirmed, which suggests that the management of innovation activity should be built on the basis of a unified view of the regional innovation ecosystem as one of the main institutions of sustainable development. The article proposes an ecosystem approach, according to which the examples of building regional innovation ecosystems in the conditions of globalization imply the coordination of socio-economic and innovative development goals, a differentiated approach to their construction, the formation of sustainable knowledge and technology flows, and ensuring diversity and competition among participants.
