IMPACT DE L’USAGE DU SMARTPHONE DANS LE PROCESSUS DE FORMATION SCOLAIRE DES ELEVES : ETUDE MENEE AU COLLEGE NOTRE DAME DES GRACES DE MONT NGAFULA A KINSHASA

ABSTRACT This study explores smartphone and internet use among students in grades 8, 9, and 10 at Collège Notre Dame des Grâces, located in Mont-Ngafula, Kinshasa. Based on a survey of 44 students, the results show that the majority of students use these tools primarily for entertainment activities, such as social media (WhatsApp, TikTok), watching and downloading videos, particularly pornographic ones, rather than for educational or scientific purposes. The analysis reveals a gap between the educational potential of digital technologies and their actual use, highlighting the need for appropriate supervision and awareness-raising. The study proposes ways to optimize the educational integration of digital tools in order to strengthen student training in a context marked by the democratization of information and communication technologies. Keywords : smartphone, school education, students, ICT, Internet.
