A method for assessing the operational saturation of electric power operators based on the fusion of multi-source risk factors
Aiming to address the physical workload and safety risks encountered by electric power operators in complex environments, this paper proposes an operational saturation assessment method based on the fusion of multi-source risk factors. The method integrates operation types identified by inertial sensors, individual medical report indicators, and demographic information, along with actual working hours, to construct comprehensive risk weights through weighted fusion, thereby enabling quantitative assessment of the operator’s load status. Experimental data were obtained from accelerometer and gyroscope signals collected via smartwatches, covering four typical operational activities—climbing, inspection, hand operation, and rest—within a controlled environment. The results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively distinguishes different load levels, with the saturation score exhibiting a strong correlation with actual physical exertion and associated safety risks, indicating high assessment accuracy and practical utility. The system shows strong adaptability and scalability, making it suitable for dynamic monitoring and real-time risk alerts, and providing a scientific and reliable quantitative basis for safety management in electric power operations.
