Lightweight Predictive Networks

This paper discusses improvements of YOLO over traditional methods in object detection tasks, focusing on YOLOv5's strategies for minimizing model parameters and computational complexity. We elucidate its capability to operate efficiently on resource-constrained devices such as mobile and embedded systems. Experiments involve applying YOLOv5 to the COCO object detection dataset, with results visualized to demonstrate the model's performance. Comprehensive evaluations using standard metrics further validate its effectiveness on the dataset.

Abstract

This paper discusses improvements of YOLO over traditional methods in object detection tasks, focusing on YOLOv5's strategies for minimizing model parameters and computational complexity. We elucidate its capability to operate efficiently on resource-constrained devices such as mobile and embedded systems. Experiments involve applying YOLOv5 to the COCO object detection dataset, with results visualized to demonstrate the model's performance. Comprehensive evaluations using standard metrics further validate its effectiveness on the dataset.
