CONTEXTE POLITIQUE ET EVOLUTIF DE L’INSTITUTION PARLEMENTAIRE EN REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO

ABSTRACT This paper demonstrates how essential parliament is to the institutional architecture of modern states, in this case the Democratic Republic of Congo. The traditional functions of any parliament can be summarized as parliamentary oversight and lawmaking. To fully understand these various prerogatives granted to parliament, it is important to place them within the context of a political system applicable to a given country. This term, which is sometimes similar to political regime, has a much broader scope in the analysis of the functioning of a country's political institutions, including parliament.
