6. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Eleştirel Görsel Okuma Becerilerinin İncelenmesi

This study was conducted to examine the critical visual reading skills of 6th grade students. The survey model was utilized to make this examination. For the study group, 100 6th grade students studying in Hatay/Antakya in the 2021-2022 academic year were determined by simple random sampling method. The Critical Visual Reading Assessment Form developed by the researchers and the Personal Information Form for the students' information were used to obtain the data of the study. The visuals in the Critical Visual Reading Assessment Form were taken from the texts and activities in the 6th grade Turkish textbook. The Critical Visual Reading Skill Measurement Form was administered in one day for 3 (three) class hours. The data obtained were analyzed using the IBM SPSS program using unrelated sample T Test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). In the light of the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was determined that the critical visual reading skills of 6th grade students showed a significant difference in the working status of the mother - in favor of students whose mothers were working in a profession. However, no statistically significant difference was found in terms of gender status, mother's and father's education status, Turkish course grade status and the time students spent in front of the screen.
