Soft carbon-coated FeNCN anodes for enhanced potassium ion storage

A novel iron carbodiimide composite with soft carbon coating was synthesized as a high-performance anode for PIBs. An optimized soft carbon coating enhances electronic conductivity and mitigates structural stress, delivering a high initial capacity (500.3 mAh g-1) and exceptional cycling stability (267.6 mAh g-1 after 590 cycles).

Abstract

A novel iron carbodiimide composite with soft carbon coating was synthesized as a high-performance anode for PIBs. An optimized soft carbon coating enhances electronic conductivity and mitigates structural stress, delivering a high initial capacity (500.3 mAh g-1) and exceptional cycling stability (267.6 mAh g-1 after 590 cycles).
