Efekt „drzwi obrotowych”

“Revolving Door” Effect The phenomenon of the interpenetration of the worlds of politics and business is usually assessed critically, as it creates a high risk of a conflict of interest due to acting on behalf of a future private employer while holding a public office, acting on behalf of a former private employer while holding a new public office, or using confidential and secret information obtained while holding a public office for the benefit of a private employer. The subject of this article will be to present the phenomenon of the “revolving door” and selected regulations that attempt to limit this phenomenon, as well as to briefly reflect on Polish legal solutions relating to this issue. It turns out that in many countries (including Poland) the revolving door law does not work properly and it has not been possible to develop a single model for regulating this phenomenon.
